Abstract

The study aims to find out the degree of application of the dimensions of mutual leadership among the principals of public schools in Jordan. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey method was adopted. The researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of (30) items, distributed on three dimensions, after verifying its validity and reliability, it was applied to a simple stratified random sample consisting of (372) female teachers in public schools in the Rusaifa district. One of the most important findings of the study shows that the degree of application of the dimensions of interactional leadership among the principals of public schools in Jordan was within the high level. The results of the study also reveal that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (α ≤ 0.05) in the degree of application of the dimensions of mutual leadership among public school principals in Jordan, due to the variable of educational qualification and years of experience. The study confirms the need to build strategic and applicable plans to facilitate the employment of transactional leadership in all its dimensions in all Jordanian schools.
