Communicative Function and Its Role in the Efficiency of Public Relations Work in Human Rights Centers in Jordan: A Survey Study

This study aims at exploring the role of the communicative function in media and non-media platforms, and in increasing the efficiency of public relation work in human rights centers in Jordan. The survey methodology was used and a questionnaire tool was administered to practitioners of public relations in 15 human rights centers in Jordan. The study came up with the following findings: 1. Public relations personnel in human rights centers in Jordan are administratively affiliated with other departments and there is no separate section for public relations, which accounted for 61.3%. 2. Online news media are one of the most contributing factors in activating the work of public relations in human rights centers in Jordan. 3. Facebook is one of the most effective social networking platforms for the job of public relations in human rights centers in Jordan.
