Background & Statement of the problem: A semantic study according to analytical theory, Linguists differ in the number and rank of love words, and the extent to which they are applied to analytical theory.
Objectives: The study aimed to Studying love lyrics in light of analytical theory; To know the formative determinants and their discriminating features.
Methods: Analytical descriptive.
Results: The results of the study showed that the Arab linguists do not agree on the discriminating determinant for a number of words, and their differences in the number of words in the semantic field, in addition to their ability to determine the discriminating determinant for a large number of search words. All the words shared the connotation of love, and its degrees varied among them, while some of his words carried the connotation of illness, pain, and sadness.
Conclusions (Recommendations and contributions): The study recommended that the possibility of applying analytical theory to the work of the Arab linguists under study.
