Abstract

Background & Statement of the problem: This study addresses the issue of organizational citizenship behavior within the company and the role that strategic vigilance can play in enhancing it. As the company faces rapid developments and increasing market competition, organizational citizenship behavior has emerged as a key indicator of work quality. In contrast, companies lacking human capital with strong citizenship values are often characterized by rigidity and an inability to adapt, develop, or even survive in dynamic environments.

Objectives: The study aimed to examine the dimensions of strategic vigilance—technological vigilance, marketing vigilance, competitive vigilance, and environmental vigilance—and their impact on organizational citizenship behavior.

Methods: A descriptive-analytical approach was employed to meet the study’s objectives. A comprehensive survey was conducted, and questionnaires were distributed to all employees of the National Integrated Company for General Trading and Contracting. Due to the small population size, a purposive sampling method was used. Various statistical analyses were performed using the SPSS software.

Results: The study found a statistically significant impact of the dimensions of strategic vigilance on organizational citizenship behavior within the company. The results indicated a high level of strategic vigilance being applied by the company and a strong focus on promoting organizational citizenship behavior.

Conclusions (Recommendations and contributions): The study recommends that the National Integrated Company for General Trading and Contracting continue prioritizing the dimensions of strategic vigilance, given its essential role in fostering organizational citizenship behavior. This strategic focus will help sustain the company’s adaptability and competitiveness in an evolving market.
