Abstract

Background & Statement of the Problem: Due to the continuous increase in the number of schools, it was necessary to have a new leadership style that governs this increase, change and rapid development in society, and therefore school leaders must possess the necessary skills to apply and promote positive practices to achieve the desired goals, and improve schools, whether in the methodology of administrative work, or in the components of the educational community.

Objectives: The study aimed to find out the degree of practicing the dimensions of moral leadership among school leaders from the point of view of their teachers.

Methods: The study adopted the descriptive survey method, and the researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of (24) items, its validity and reliability were confirmed, which was applied to a random sample of (230) teachers in the Rusaifa district / Jordan.

Results: The results of the study showed that the degree of practicing the dimensions of the ethical leadership variable among school leaders came at an average level, with a general index of (3.58). The results of the study also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (α≤0.05) between the teachers’ response averages in the degree of practicing moral leadership among school leaders due to the variable (educational qualification and experience).

Conclusion (Recommendation and contributions): The study recommended that the Ministry of Education in Jordan should pay attention to employing ethical leadership among educational leaders, by including their job performance reports with criteria to measure their ethical practices.
