Assessing the Educational Landscape of Public Schools in the Irbid Kasbah District through a Reliable Lens amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic

Background & Statement of the problem: Given the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it became imperative to adopt alternative strategies to facilitate student learning and ensure the uninterrupted flow of education. These strategies involved employing methods that support continued education despite the challenges posed by closures and the need for social distancing measures.
Objectives: The study sought to examine and assess the distance learning experience within government schools in the Irbid Kasbah district, particularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the perspectives of teachers.
Methods: The researcher employed a descriptive approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary research instrument.
Results: The results showed differences in the distance education evaluation score based on gender, favoring males. It also revealed differences based on marital status, favoring singles, while no differences were found based on educational qualification and work experience variables.
Conclusions (Recommendations and contributions): The study recommended the necessity of organizing courses and workshops for students and teachers to enhance their skills in dealing with this technology. It also suggested providing internet access and devices specifically for distance education, developing curricula and specialized guides on distance education technologies for students and teachers.
