Abstract

Background & Statement of the problem: Mental health is a fundamental aspect of life for any university student, contributing to internal and external harmony across various dimensions. This entails self-acceptance and adherence to socially acceptable behaviors to achieve a high level of emotional balance.

Objectives: Identifying the Level of Emotional Stability, Body Image Acceptance, and Intellectual Stress Among Female Students at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Revealing the Nature of the Relationship Between the Level of Emotional Stability, Body Image Acceptance, and Intellectual Stress.Investigating Differences in Levels of Emotional Stability, Body Image Acceptance, and Intellectual Stress Based on Two Variables (Academic Year and Social Status).

Methods: Three measures were devised: Emotional Stability, Body Image Acceptance, and Intellectual Stress. Statistical analysis was conducted utilizing means, standard deviations, and analysis of variance to address the study’s inquiries.

Results: The levels of emotional stability and intellectual stress were found to be moderate, whereas the acceptance of body image was observed to be high. Furthermore, a positive association was identified between emotional stability and acceptance of body image, while a negative correlation was observed between emotional stability and intellectual stress. No significant variances noted concerning the influence of academic year and marital status on emotional stability and acceptance of body image, with regard to intellectual stress, significant differences were observed based on marital status, favoring married students.

Conclusions (Recommendations and contributions): In light of these findings, it is strongly advised to consider psychological counseling services as a means to uphold optimal levels of emotional stability, foster acceptance of body image, and mitigate intellectual stress.
